Political System of the Whirl Islands Empty

Most humanoids (with the exception of dwarves, elves and the like) are ruled under an Imperial political system. It goes from a local magistrate (or governor) ruling part of an island, a Lord overseeing the island itself, and all Lords answering to the Emperor. This set-up has been in place for as long as can be recalled.

Currently, Emperor Kestin sits on the throne. However, he is a weak-willed person who is being manipulated by his wife, Empress Moraiah. Moraiah seeks to set things up so one of her three daughters can actually rule as Empress. Her solution is to make it more acceptable for women to rule; there are already several female magistrates and two female lords. Everyone knows this, but no one speaks about it.

More will be updated soon, specifically who has which role on each island.
